Well, first of all, that’s sort of unexpected? I mean, no shots, I just didn’t realize how much people liked them. But you do, I suppose.

Oh also — that scenario? A box full of well-done Cheez-It crackers? It’s reportedly happening. I know! What a world.

In May, Cheez-It is expected to begin to distribute Cheez-It Extra Toasty, FWx reports. Yes, the product is apparently just a super toasty version of Cheez-Its. So … solid name, I guess?

So. Obviously some pretty big snack news here, at least in the Larimer household in Salem, Ill., a place that has kept a constant supply of Cheez-Its for decades, thanks to my dad.

“Fun fact,” Dick Podiak, senior director of Cheez-It marketing, told FWx, “the most requested new flavor from people who call into our customer hotline is to add an ‘extra toasty’ flavor. We know that people literally dig through the box to get to the extra toasty ones. People have requested we make ‘extra toasty’ a flavor for almost 10 years, so, we added it to our Cheez-It family.”

That is a fun fact, thank you, Dick Podiak. And bonus points for actually using the phrase “our Cheez-It family.”
